Excerpt from Cherribim’s Garden

Cherribim, a pretty red dahlia flower, lived in the garden with all of the other flowers. She grew in a soft patch of earth with her special friends – Araminta, Sophenia, Mariel, April, Holly, and Angeline underneath the Great Red Tree. They would watch over the little flowers, the impatience and the pansies and many others.

Cherribim felt so very perfect in the garden. Every morning, she would open her eyes, move her velvety red petals all around, stretch her neck, and sigh very happily.

A hand-drawn illustration featuring a group of blue, round, smiley faces with sharp teeth and long, pointed legs, appearing aggressive or menacing. Opposite them are three colorful flower characters with human facial features, expressing surprise or fear. One flower is red with spiky petals, and the other two are orange and yellow with fluffy petals. The flowers have stems and leaves, and the scene depicts a confrontation or emotional interaction between the flowers and the menacing creatures.
Drawing of a group of blue, smiling, menacing spiders with sharp black claws and large teeth surrounding a small crying girl with closed eyes, tears, and a red flower-like structure on her head, along with a single green leaf at the bottom.
