From the Heart

I would like to share a few thoughts about what’s happening around us in the world today. I have been listening to survivors stories on Shawn Atwards Utube channel. The horrific suffering experienced by all of them is heartbreaking, but that’s one part of it. The other is hearing about the perpetrators and what they actually do. Every time I finished a video, I thought I must have heard the worst one could hear, and then it got more horrific until it became almost impossible to process the information. What is it that makes a human being capable of descending into such depths of depravity, so that they can no longer be called human, but creatures? One word stood out. Entitlement. That gave me some understanding, but no comfort. I found all of it so disturbing that I wasn’t sure how to cope with it. I read in the Bible a verse from 2 Chronicles ch 32: 7-8 “Be strong and. courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, because of the King (Satan) and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and fight our battles.” That helped me immensely. It made it clear that there is still a power higher and in control, no matter what things might look like. The hunted suffering children will be in Heaven and loved, with Jesus forever. The hunters will be in Hell and be hunted themselves and tortured forever. There are still many sane, normal people in this world, rich and poor, and the mad creatures who have lost their minds and given themselves over to evil are in the minority. Marne Denny
